New WIP! HG Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L!

Upon the essential completion of yet another master grade kit, I decided i should have a small change of pace and go for a high grade 1\144 kit this time around.  Purchased this kit from a vender at Animeiowa for a pretty decent price, and it just screamed "build me, build me". Like a lot of HGs, it will require some painting but that's to be expected.  So far, the head, chest, and both arms are clipped, sanded and test fit. Definitely gonna be a quicker build, but should be fun!

MG Strike "ver. RM" complete(ish)

After several weeks of weeks of work, my mg Strike is as complete as I can get it. Still looking yo replace or find the yellow v fin, and need to now replace the back skirts, everything else is essentially done. Gonna post up some pictures, then make another post about my thoughts on the kit.

Quick MG Strike ver RM update

Legs are 100% done, finally, as well as the shield.  99.9% of the Aile and Launcher striker packs are flat coated, waiting on the .01% for the final assembly.  Speaking of the Launcher pack, waterslides are the best thing since sliced bread, so I've used a lot (for me) on the Launcher pack, and will likely do the same for the sword pack.  I like what they add to the kit, and they are great to work with, unlike dry decals or stickers.  I'll be sure to post some pictures when they are finally assembled!

Still going great, legs are done, except one armor piece I forgot to flat coat >.>  Painted most of the Aile and Launcher Striker packs, hope to finish then tomorrow! A few pics...

Crossbone Gundam XM-X2 "ver. Ka" unboxed

New arrival!

Very excited to receive this in the mail today, the Crossbone Gundam X2 Ver. Ka! Went back and forth on deciding to buy this kit, finally went for it and happy I did, absolutely love the design of this gundam.

MG Strike ver. RM WIP update

Pretty good progress tonight, assembled the right leg, left leg is partially assembled, needing only the armor pieces. Also spent a chunk of time detailing the feet, painting the shield and the beam rifle.  Its really coming together and looking very awesome! Tomorrows plan is finishing the left leg and working on the Aile and Launcher striker packs!

Future projects

My current build of the MG Strike is going along smoothly, and i hope to wrap it up in the next few days. As such, I've started looking forward to the next project. I've got a huge backlog to choose from, most of them MGs.  Because of that, I've decided to build the one HG I do have next, the Blue Frame Astray Second L.  After that the picture is much fuzzier, as I originally intended to make the MG Red Frame Astray, but I know I'll be extremely tempted to make the Crossbone X-2 that I should be receiving today, and the 00 and Sinanju are both calling my name... Decisions, decisions.

Quick Strike update and incoming new arrivals!

Inner frame of the right leg is now flat coated, planning for complete assembly of left leg and the frame of the right tomorrow.
Also expecting two, if not three packages from usps tomorrow, some new flat and clear coat to try out, a moisture filter for the airbrush, and the most awesome, a MG X-2 Crossbone gundam ver. Ka to add to my already insane backlog! Prolly didn't need it, but its so damn awesome looking and its a online hobby exclusive, I really couldn't help it.

MG Strike ver RM Progress

As of today, Aug 14, 2013, components have been completed.  The chest, both arms and the waist have are 100% complete.  The head is essentially complete, however, the yellow v-fin has gone missing and will prevent that final 100%.  The left leg is mostly complete, just needing final assembly, while the right leg is currently being painted and coated. 

MG Aile Strike ver. RM WIP

Been working on this for a few weeks now, been going pretty smoothly, minus losing one of the V-fins, and just now snapping off one of the back skirts. Thank the gunpla gods for Tamiya plastic cement eh?
